While we are a Massachusetts based website, there is much on the site that is of interest to all law enforcement officers.  While the site does cover happenings and incidents, there will usually not be any negative coverage of law enforcement. Message Board aka Forums:

MassCops assumes no responsibility or liability arising from the content of any such locations nor for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations or otherwise on the site. You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane materials or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law. You are also prohibited from posting personal information about any member or non member such as residence, phone numbers and family names etc. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned, posts deleted (and your service provider being informed). MassCops maintain logs of visits to and use of its web pages. MassCops uses this information only for statistical analysis in order to identify user preferences and make the sites more user friendly. E-mail logs for incoming e-mail containing sender’s and receiver's identification and the date and time that the message was sent are also maintained. the e-mail log does contain the message sent.

MassCops also employs security measures which, in the event of any attempt at compromising the MassCops website and its support systems, are capable of identifying the offending individual user and the user's internet service provider. All efforts at breaching the security of the MassCops website and its support systems will be referred to the appropriate agency for investigation and prosecution.

CHAPTER 266. CRIMES AGAINST PROPERTY
Chapter 266: Section 120F Unauthorized access to computer system; penalties

Section 120F. Whoever, without authorization, knowingly accesses a computer system by any means, or after gaining access to a computer system by any means knows that such access is not authorized and fails to terminate such access, shall be punished by imprisonment in the house of correction for not more than thirty days or by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars, or both. The requirement of a password or other authentication to gain access shall constitute notice that access is limited to authorized users.
