NRA Announcement; More Guns in Schools to Protect Children

WASHINGTON - The National Rifle Association on Friday called for schools to be protected by armed guards as the best way to protect children from gun violence.
The proposal from the pro-gun lobbying group, long the most vocal and influential organization generally opposing stricter regulation of firearms, came during the N.R.A.'s first organized media event after the deadly shootings in Newtown, Conn. The group also called for steps other than gun control, including cracking down on criminals and fighting violence in the media and on video games.
Wayne LaPierre, the group's executive vice president, read a statement to reporters but did not take questions, and ignored outbursts from protesters who interrupted him.
But it was the vehement insistence that the single best line of defense was to put armed guards in schools - and the absence of any openness to various suggestions for new gun control measures - that dominated the event at a downtown hotel not far from the White House.
Mr. LaPierre said this should be done right away, with the details left to the discretion of local schools. The N.R.A. would provide a template or model program after consulting with security experts.
"The only way - the only way - to stop a monster from killing our kids is to be personally involved and invested in a plan of absolute protection," Mr. LaPierre said. "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun."

Of course, this is a good idea, but if you want to really enrage yourself, read the comments from the liberals on the website, but I can't expect anything better from readers of the NY Times, perhaps the most slanted liberal rag in the country.

Wayne LaPierre delivered an excellent speech in spite of the attention whores who attempted to silence him while holding cheep signs and screaming foolish proclamations. The libtards of MA would never allow this and frankly, Deville has spent us into oblivion supporting his EBT roaches so the funds just aren't there.

NRA calls for armed officer in every school

http://www.telegram.com/article/20121221/NEWS/121229953/1116

WASHINGTON - The nation's largest gun-rights lobby called today for armed police officers to be posted in every American school to stop the next killer "waiting in the wings."

The National Rifle Association broke its silence on last week's shooting rampage at a Connecticut elementary school that left 26 children and staff dead.

"The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun," the group's top lobbyist, Wayne LaPierre, said at a Washington news conference.

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino is criticizing the National Rifle Association's call for armed police and security volunteers to be posted at schools, saying the group's proposal "is not a plan, but a ploy to bring more guns into our neighborhoods" after a massacre in a Connecticut elementary school.
I simply point to the stunning failure of his administrations' "war on guns". I'm sure Boston schools are completely free of violence because of their status as "gun free zones".

I just paid off my Lifetime Membership to the NRA. And in an interesting twist, on the day before Sandy Hook I received a mass mailing solicitation from the scumbags who run "Stop Handgun Violence." For those who don't know, that group is full of the douchebags who post the distracting anti-gun billboard on the Mass Pike.

I'm positive that the billboard has caused more deaths (due to car accidents caused by distracted drivers who can't read the lettering that they put up there in about a 10 point font) than guns have ever caused in Massachusetts, and I detest John Rosenthal, the leader of the group who is absolutely full of shit.

So on Thursday, the day before the Newtown shooting, I received a request for a donation from the scumbags at Stop Handgun Violence and I took time out to write them a personal note before sending it back in the envelope for which they paid the postage.

The note said, "Thanks for asking me for a donation, but given that John Rosenthal is too much of a douche-bag to return a simple telephone call when I had a question for him, I have decided to donate the enormous amounts of disposable income with which I've been blessed to the National Rifle Association rather than to your group. I recently paid my lifetime membership in full and I made a commitment of donating $1,000 per month. I have also included the NRA in my estate plan, and I encourage my many friends and colleagues to do the same. You people, meanwhile, can go to Hell."

I put the envelope in the mail on Tuesday so I'm sure they received it by now.

Liberals on Twitter call for murder of NRA members after NRA press conference (Video)

After a week of silence, NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre held a press conference in which he blasted the Democrat-media complex and called for armed police in America's schools. Predictably, Twitchy said Friday, liberals on Twitter responded by flooding the social media site with calls to murder member of the NRA, including LaPierre.
"I generally don't condone gun violence, but Wayne Lapierre (sic) should do us a favor and shoot himself in the face," said "Sam Malone's wig."
"Can...can we shoot...the NRA?" asked "Nicholas Assunto."
"At times like this I wish that I was an American so that I can shoot the s**t out of Wayne(the w****r Lapierre (ironic Brit) (sic)," added "Elsie Assap."

I don't worry about libtards here in Hampshire County. They're usually scrawny and weak from their vegan diet and not proficient with any type if weapon. They're in no condition to defend themselves so natural selection is their biggest problem next to getting cut off from SSI and Section 8 housing since their philosophy degree from Hampshire College isn't very marketable so they're stuck in minimum wage jobs.

Let the fucking wolves come down from the mountains and drag them away.

I dropped my membership in the NRA when they started spouting off about jack booted thugs (us). That really bothered me at the time, so I never renewed. Guess who just renewed? That's right, and I told them put it on Jeepy's tab.

Liberals on Twitter call for murder of NRA members after NRA press conference
Let me guess what this Liberetards plan to use to commit this "murder": guns. Hypocrites. Screw all this non-sense I say we split the Country those with all the guns take what you can through superior firepower, those without guns lets see how much real estate you can get with your words, touchy feelie policies, kumbaya songs, meditational energy circles and socialist, liberal logic.

Meet the Press's studios are located in Washington DC. This morning on "Meet the Press", David Gregory decided to wave around a 30-round AR-15 magazine.

From DC's gun laws:
DC High Capacity Ammunition Magazines - D.C. Official Code 7-2506.01
(b) No person in the District shall possess, sell, or transfer any large capacity ammunition feeding device regardless of whether the device is attached to a firearm. For the purposes of this subsection, the term large capacity ammunition feeding device means a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device that has a capacity of, or that can be readily restored or converted to accept, more than 10 rounds of ammunition. The term large capacity ammunition feeding device shall not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition.."

Dopes.

Airplanes, sporting arenas, nightclubs, banks, hospitals and colleges. All locations that have police officers or someone armed.

Colleges. Fuckin' COLLEGES. These asshats can't relate college students' security to elementary/high school children? Fuckin' dumb as rocks. We protect out college students, who are far more capable than 6 year olds, but nah, nobody needs armed protection at an elementary school.

The bottom line is that NOTHING is going to prevent the next shooting. There are several ideas that will STOP the next shooting though. Reality is harsh and cruel. A prepared mind is the only defense.
