The Town of Plympton, MA Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Police Officer. Applicants must be a reserve academy graduate; preference may be given to candidates who are full-time academy trained through the Massachusetts Police Training Committee. Successful candidates may have a future opportunity as a Full-Time Police officer.
Out-of-state applicants who have completed a full-time police officer training academy may apply if their academy training is recognized by the Massachusetts Police Training Committee. Contact MPTC for eligibility requirements. (www.mass.gov/mptc)
Minimum requirements include the following: police academy training, must be 22-years-old, possess a High School diploma (60 college credits from an accredited College/University or 2 years active duty in any Armed Services of the United States of America is preferred), be a United States citizen, possess a valid driver's license.
The Town of Plympton offers a competitive compensation package with Police Educational Incentive Pay, shift differentials, vacation and personal time.
Successful applicants must pass a physical and psychological examination, a thorough background investigation and also successfully complete the state Physical Ability Test.
