Police rescue woman from burning home overnight

GARDNER, Mass. -
A woman had to be rescued from the second floor of a home in Gardner early Saturday morning as fire ripped through the building.
A neighbor told the Worcester Telegram he saw flames coming from the windows of the home on Woodland Avenue. Police were trying to get a woman to jump out to them. Another neighbor brought over a ladder, which helped police get the victim out.
Two other residents got out of the home on their own.
All three floors of the residence were on fire when firefighters arrived, and the house next door was starting to catch fire.
No one was hurt in the three alarm fire.
Firefighters did not immediately know what caused the fire.
