Just thought I'd cast a line and see if anyone out there is aware of any agencies in the western or central part of the state actively looking for P/T guys... All input is appreciated, Thanks.
A lot of departments that hire reserves do not post positions. Best bet is to start looking at rosters on department websites and make a list of the ones you see reserve officers at. Send a letter and resume to the Chief at each one
I've been doing that quite a bit. Sent out apps and resumes to #38 different agencies in the last month. [emoji43][emoji43] But I figured I might as well ask around too.
CapeSpecial it dead on. If you look at websites, you'll see lots of departments (muni AND college) who have p/t, per diem and SPECIAL officers. They may not advertise a lot because no doubt, when you have a constant pool of applicants, why bother? Look, inquire, apply.
NO shit. I didn't think ANY state school would hire part timers. It opens up many more opportunities while at the same time ruining the chances of more full time slots. It's a win/lose lose/win situation. Thanks for that input.
You're a pretty good guy, you know that? Keep it up.
Hampden
Belchertown
