    MARRERO, La. --
The attempted robbery of a Marrero bar ended in gunfire and four deaths Thursday afternoon.
Two brothers who owned the bar are among the victims, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputies said.
The shooting happened at 2 p.m. at Gomez's Bar on Fourth Street in Marrero.
Wallace Gomez, 78, and Bufford Gomez, 75, were pronounced dead on the scene. The men were brothers and owned the bar.
Also killed were Wayne Hebert, 64, and Jeffrey Camardell, 71. Both were pronounced dead shortly after arrival at University Hospital.
Deputies said they have six suspects in the case. Three of them were arrested shortly after the shooting: 26-year-old Mario Funez, 22-year-old Jose Cornejo and 20-year-old Rigoberto Funas. Funez was taken to University Hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds.
The other three suspects have not been caught. Deputies believe they found two of them driving an SUV that matched a description from witnesses.
But the suspects jumped from the vehicle and police were looking for them in nearby neighborhoods.
Investigators said the bar may have been targeted because residents frequently go there on Thursdays and Fridays to get paychecks cashed.
