    Fall River —
Police arrested a 58-year-old man Wednesday on a charge of possession of child pornography.
James P. Finglas Jr. of 11 Courtney St., a sales consultant, was arrested on a warrant, said police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Mauretti.
The Office of Homeland Security was notified by America Online that Finglas allegedly was downloading child pornography from the Internet, Mauretti said.
With that information, Detective Steve Washington of the Police Department’s Major Crimes Division secured a search warrant for Finglas’ residence.
Police seized Finglas’ computer, which was later reviewed by the Norwood Police Department’s Electronic Crimes Task Force, Mauretti said.
“An examination of the computer revealed about 250 images of child pornography,” he said. A warrant was then obtained for Finglas’ arrest.
