Let's hope MCOFU bypasses management and go straight to the governor.
Sounds like they really need some more officers at the institutions

Yeah it was nice of them to drive around the perimeter. That's about as close as they got.

    The Patriots won the SuperBowl!!!

They are giving a new CO2 exam even though they haven't Promoted/hired off the last one.

Sounds like if they hire in 2018 they would have to put out another test

    I didn't think anything could top 2001 or 2014. I was wrong.

Maybe the promotions will speed up the hiring. Still looks like a there's quite a while to wait. Thank you for the update.

With the State Hospital closing a lot of officers will fill in at the Bridgewater Complex. That's close to 130 officers, so there's almost a full class. If there's a test in September I'd take it.

What's another $100 donation to the state? Haha. Just trying to get this clock started. I had a good score the first time, so hopefully I can bump it up a couple spots on the next exam. Thanks for the update.

A little off-topic, but the Rhode Island DOC is in the beginning stages of recruitment. Should be official come spring/ summer 2017. Went through a lot of bs with the last recruitment drive (DOC was sued by the Feds because the test was supposedly biased - and all hiring was frozen). Hopefully with all of that aside, looking for a class late fall or early winter 2017.
Just an FYI so guys looking to get into the field have some options.
Best of luck to the Mass. guys---keep your eyes open when you get in there !!!!

The Superintendent at my facility came in around 0500 one morning just to tell us that the DOC won't be hiring until calendar year 2018 at the earliest. Both the Sgts and Lts exams were canceled for this year. Not looking good for those who want in.

Seems like an odd reason for the super to come in early...

But ya, the academy is scheduled for Jan of 2018 and July of 2018.

Its not odd when whole shifts are getting forced during the holiday season.

I looked into a while back. It was 25 years with an age of at least 55 to retire

Thank you for the info. I figured it would be a while after seeing the promo exams get pulled off the website.
