This isn't the first post you've put down officers of this department, hopefully no one lurking here from that department figures out who you are. Not a good start as far as a character assessment is concerned...

This, coming from the guy who said DI's don't pay attention to this site in the CO thread?

Roger, tone it down a bit.

If the Trial Court wanted their interview questions to be public knowledge, they would include a sample of them in the hiring materials. If I were a BI, I would take a very dim view of an applicant who wanted to know the interview questions in advance.

just treat it like a standard interview. do your research and prepare yourself and youll be fine. I was surprised the emails went out so fast. got the nod that I passed and was scheduled an interview in the next coming weeks. hopefully things progress faster than the last couple months.

Just wondering if being a veteran would give you a "edge" to get the job against a non vet.

I'd say the most important question is the first one: "Tell us about yourself". People often go off on tangents about things completely unrelated to the job.

I believe vet status does too . also gets you max out in 5 years I believe

Mass won't consider military time when determining what pay grade someone starts at, So it would still be 10 years to max out.

Military or a degree allows you to move up to CO 3 after about 5 or 6 years. Then it's about another 4 years to max out at top pay.
I believe atleast two of though years has to be as a CO2 to count. So you can't be a CO 1 for 5+ years and move up to CO3.

There are plans to count military service as if it were college credit but that language hasn't been added to the cba yet

Massachusetts is a joke, for the CO's academy the trainees have to buy their own,"uniform" while at the academy, they don't provide anything not even towels. But we have enough for free housing & food stamps uh ?

Look at NY officers PT uniform...

Actually Military service is allowed for the purposes of reclassifying to CO III..
I know CO's who have used it already.

"The enclosed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Trial Court and NAGE now allows credit for qualifying military service for the purpose of meeting the requirements for CO-III reclassification. This agreement is retroactive to July 1, 2014."

You have to do the pull ups while running in place on the bar while simultaneously doing push ups and sit ups - all while your feet are off the ground and you are hanging on the pull-up bar.
