Room, better visibility, better ground clearance for median strip excursions, easier access for officers/prisoners, etc. Just better all the way around for patrol, while still getting better milage then a CVI. Unmarked will continue to be a mix of what we've been using for the last couple of years.
My only concern is when we are driving an "SUV" or "Crossover" whatever you want to call it, at high speeds during pursuits or responding to serious incidents how well these will handle due to the higher center of gravity and heavier weight. I haven't driven either vehicle so I can't speak from experience but I can't imagine that of two vehicles based on the same platform that the SUV would perform better than a sedan. I understand the other parts of it with regards to roominess and and ground clearance but I just dont think it would handle better.
Troopers; are your call sign's the Cruiser number? Also, does the cruiser number have any significance about the trooper's rank, troop assignment etc..? In Boston, the number indicant's the production year of the vehicle.

777 is a spare out of C Troop these days. I'm surprised they didn't pull the tint off of it. It still has less miles than most of the cruisers in troop.
I am pretty sure his name was Satan when the Sarge had 666.
