    'Tickle monster' cleared by judge

A man who begged parents to let him tickle their children has been
allowed to walk free from court.

Self-professed "tickle monster" Charles Douglas was charged with
disorderly conduct after making the request to families at a park in the
    American state of Illinois.

The 58-year-old insisted it was a "joking thing" he often did to entertain
    children.

And a judge in Madison County has now agreed there was nothing illegal in
    Douglas's behaviour.

Associate Judge Kyle Napp said the remarks were protected as free
    speech by the First Amendment.
